Tiffany & Co. establishes Laurelton Diamonds Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary, to manage our global diamond supply chain.
We start offering domestic partner benefits in the U.S. and later expand our healthcare coverage for U.S.-based employees to include transgender affirmation benefits as well as global adoption and surrogacy benefits.

In support of the U.S. Burmese Freedom and Democracy Act, we stop buying gemstones from Myanmar (Burma) to protect human rights.
2004
Tiffany stops selling coral jewellery to help preserve ocean life and urges other jewellers to do the same.
We also ask the U.S. Forest Service to deny a permit for the proposed Rock Creek Mine in the Cabinet Mountains Wilderness in Montana.
2006
The first solar projects at two of Tiffany’s New Jersey facilities are installed. We later install on-site solar in Cambodia and Rhode Island.
2009
We are the first jeweller to speak out against the proposed Pebble Mine in Alaska’s Bristol Bay.
2011
We join the United Nations Global Compact, committing to align Company practices with universal sustainability principles.
2015
Tiffany & Co. joins other leading companies in pledging net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.
We launch “Will You?”, the House’s first advertising campaign to feature a same-sex couple.
2017
We launch the Tiffany Save the Wild collection to help protect endangered elephants, rhinos and lions. 100% of profits from the collection – totalling over USD $10 million – benefit the Wildlife Conservation Network.
Tiffany & Co. signs the United Nations Women’s Empowerment Principles.

After a decade of collaboration, the Initiative for Responsible Mining Assurance (IRMA) releases the pioneering Standard for Responsible Mining.
Tiffany & Co. is a founding member of IRMA’s Steering Committee and, as always, we continue to encourage positive change in the industry.

With the launch of our Diamond Source Initiative, we pledge to provide provenance information – countries or region of origin – for every newly sourced, individually registered diamond we set.
We enhance our Supplier Code of Conduct and share it publicly with translations available in 16 languages. The following year, we launch our Supplier Code Guidance, providing further details on our expectations of suppliers.
Tiffany & Co. launches Employee Resource Groups across 12 chapters in four countries, including Multicultural, Women, LGBTQIA+ and Life Stages.

The Tiffany & Co. Foundation celebrates its 20th anniversary. It has awarded over USD $100 million in grants since its inception.

Over USD $6.5 million is raised in support of The Nature Conservancy from the historic auction of a Patek Philippe Ref. 5711 Nautilus watch featuring a Tiffany Blue® dial. The donation helps conservation efforts in five key regions facing the dual crises of climate change and biodiversity loss.
2022
Tiffany & Co. is committed to achieving net zero greenhouse gas emissions across its operations and supply chain by 2040, 10 years ahead of the Paris Agreement target. This commitment is made possible by a leading global organisation working to reduce corporate emissions. Science-Based Goals Initiative

Tiffany & Co. announces the Love For Our Oceans initiative, releasing T Smile by Tiffany cord bracelets crafted with REPREVE® Our Ocean™ cords, made entirely from ocean-bound plastic bottles. The House pledges to give at least USD $1 million to The Nature Conservancy to support its goal of conserving four billion hectares of ocean by 2030.
